What’s next? Renaming Washington DC, renaming the Washington monument, tearing down the Jefferson memorial . Both men were slave owners and products of their time as was Robert E Lee. This trying to erase history is ridicules .

I don’t recognize my hometown @ all and I really think this a tragic decision made by those who were never apart if our high school- all alumni should have a voice! Robert E. Lee Lancers onward!!!!

This would be a waste of time and money, especially considering the lack of groundswell to make the change. Only the "feeling" of an outsider.

Are you planning on changing all of the history books as well ! Ridiculous! History is history and some is good and some is bad but it’s our history!

My Dad was part of the staff that opened Lee in 1958 and he worked as a Coach, teacher and Administrator until he retired in 1987. Myself and my 3 siblings all graduated from Lee. We are proud alumni. Please leave the name our school alone. Spend money on student development.

It is sad to think this decision is being led by someone who is not even from here and by a bunch of politicians who havent been asked by community to do this
