I have a serious issue with temp and air balancing as well as undersized ducking and condenser. This goes beyond Lakeview houses. I'm in Frisco Hills and there are multiple houses built by Chelden homes that have the same issue as us. Little Elm inspectors slept on this one.

I recently had an HVAC professional out to service my home. He explained to me that my home has some serious issues with the way the duct work was organized and that my unit is not sufficient for my home.

We are getting severe noise from HAVC system which is on 2nd floor. Due to this, we couldn’t use upstairs, medium and the guest room which is just the below HVAC. This is really killing us from the day one we moved in.

We have been complaining about poor design and the current 1 AC unit is not able to cater to the double stormy house needs. And initially Landon said they have put sufficient tonnage . But the situation worsened and in couple of years during peak winter the blower motor broke down due to excessive load . And we had to change it with Landon’s help in Jan 2014 .
But our plight still continues with blower motor breaking down again now in peak summer and for last 1 month we had to call airtron 5 times still our upstairs AC issue is not solved ..
And now they are saying air balancing is not working fine and the damper motor needs to be replaced which was the issue noticed from day one of closing ..
And now the Airtron technician is saying we need to pay more for replacement since Landon is the only builder who covers the damper motor and air duct - inside plywood casing to even diagnose any issues . They are charging more for cutting open the casing ..
over all there has been always Airtron complaining about poor design and Landon complaining about airtron”s poor workmanship.
In between we the owners of house are suffering .
Biggest concern is overall for 3200+ sq ft house double storey house without analyzing the proper airflow pattern single AC unit has been commissioned adding to other design issues ..
Would like the city to intervene and see proper constructions codes have been followed , and also would like proper answer on what can be done now..

Leaking and faulty dampers have been a major issue in my house. Also, uneven cooling and heat.

Ours was installed in our laundry room, but we have had the same issue with leaking which causes water in our main hallway. I believe we own an Avalon model. (The single story that was a model)

Many many issues. Had to replace upstairs unit when House was only 4 years old. Had to replace coil for that unit at 6 years old. Suggesting coil for downstairs unit be replaced. It’s leaking and way too small for the unit. Upstairs also was too small. Bedrooms upstairs extremely hot.
One bedroom which is below the attic basically we were told the duct work goes all the way down a hall and doubles up and turns back to that bedroom. I can’t even understand why anyone would do that.

I've leaked water from ac unit and my pan got filled up and got rusted. It got replaced by Airtron. Not sure I may encounter the same.

Requested AirTron/Landon to come out last summer as upstairs was not cooling. They said they were to busy. Had to call A#1Air to come had 3 pounds of Freon . Also. Drain to the outside is filling a 5 gallon bucket every 24 hours. Pretty sure they didn’t install to sink drain like it’s supposed to be done for main drain. Side backyard is flooded all the time and dealt with standing water and mesquites !

I too have uneven flow of cool air in the home and all atop, my upstairs ac compressor failed. These compressors are so young to die as they are expected to work for at least 10 years and within 5.5 years mine has failed. I am suspecting it could be because of the overload. Reported to Landon and didn't get any support except for "sorry" from them. Really frustrated as I had to spend so much to replace it now.
