We live away from Lake Links, but spend enough time down there -- walking and biking with friends and family -- to appreciate the pressing need for a well-designed, well-funded off-road trail and trail system. It's a people-access and safety amenity that needs swift completion.

Riding my bike is the best exercise for me as a 60 years old. When I take my route around the lake the 244 through Dellwood has me concerned for my safety as the side of the road is uneven and has whole while on the road I must pray that cars will go around me. Please work together to give our Lake neighborhood a safe option to stay healthy.

We need this link of the trail to be completed for the safety of all who enjoy biking and walking around White Bear Lake...don't let the funding expire!

I’ve been working & following the progress of a trail around WBL since the ‘80’s when I was a member of met councils transportation advisory board. Much progress has been made through collaboration. Please continue the good work and find a way to complete the trail. Your family & friends health and safety depend on it

The Dellwood section is extremely dangerous especially for children. I hate biking in that section.

This crucial section of the route around the lake is currently a huge safety concern and the benefits of a shared-use trail there would be immense. It would be a shame to see the funding for such an amazing improvement expire.

I am an experienced cyclist and a ride leader for the Twin Cities Bicycling Club. I live in Mahtomedi and have tried to avoid riding on 244 through Dellwood because I consider it dangerous. Please get the Lake Links trail built though there to make this beautiful route safe.

Unless biking with a group, I currently avoid going the northern route around White Bear Lake. This means that I am unable to share the beauty of 244 and Dellwood along the lake with my granddaughter becuz it is too dangerous for an elementary age biker to ride safely. The south shore portion of the trail is a game changer regarding safe biking. Given that the funding is already available, please come together and collaborate on a game changing solution along 244 and through Dellwood. Thank you.

As a biker and runner I would really appreciate a safer route around white bear lake. As a grandmother I want my grandchildren to be safe on their bikes and runs. People driving are not paying attention- they are on devices so please fund and finish the trails around the lake.

My husband and I are senior citizens. A safe Trail around White Bear Lake would mean a lot to us. We bike frequently and enjoy going around the lake but feel very vulnerable on the section of 244 through Dellwood.

A safe trail for biking and walking would be a tremendous asset for the community. This would create much needed connectivity in an otherwise dangerous stretch that is unfortunately limited to automobiles, which is not in concert with broader goals for wellbeing and the environment. Having a safe way to exercise and enjoy our wonderful spot in the world would be so meaningful to children, adults and all who use it.
