I agree with Russell Messer. This is the same type of complex Cullman and other citys have that attract travel ball tournaments that last the whole weekends. Just think of the revenue from multiple team here for competition several weekends a year. But, Russell also makes another great point that we need more lodging as some teams and players come greater distances and stay for the whole weekend. I have experienced this as I used to be one of those parents.

Would also be a good space for resort/housing development (see Chesnutbay in Leesburg). We are a recreation town. It's time to have better options. There isn't a more picturesque place in the state. Let's take advantage of it!

Traveled to South Carolina, Michigan, Texas, Huntsville, Birmingham, Tennessee for Softball tournaments and all parking spaces are filled. Softball is huge now. Teams are traveling to many states to play. Guntersville is beautiful and would be a huge attraction.

A nice sports complex would benefit Guntersville City as well as Marshall County residents as well as a nice low admission park on the lake like the one in Enterprise Alabama. I can think of nothing better to invest in than the children and families in Guntersville /Marshall Co.
