Great idea! I especially like that there are tennis courts in the picture design!

This would be a fantastic idea for Guntersville. However please do not forget about the track team.

This is an amazing project idea that would be another way to make Guntersville a great place to live!

This is a wonderful idea! Hopefully they would include an inside Olympic size pool as well. Selling off the other lakefront ball parks would help offset the cost.

I agree. While practicing at Therapy Plus is better than nothing, having a proper indoor swim facility would be a great benefit to our team and others from surrounding communities!

I travel all over the state to play softball tournaments. Guntersville needs this so we can get the money for city. You would not believe the people that attend these games. You have parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and Aunts and Uncles. Let's go Guntersville community, let's get started and build this.

Ever since the Conner Island fiasco, my father had a vision for that land that was beneficial for all of Guntersville. I've often added my own two cents, over the years, not that my opinion mattered any farther than sentimentality. The fact is : Guntersville is the lake, and the lake is Guntersville. Developing and attempting to grow in directions other than that, has always fallen flat or added unwanted issues. Conner has always been ideally suited for event and recreational development, focused on athletics, sporting events, and the lake. Not only could Guntersville have THE premier athletics event facilities in all of north Alabama, but it could have the best sport fishing docks, weigh in, and event/show facilities in all of the U.S. All of this could happen in a satellite planning area, that will promote business/hospitality/retail growth, far beyond what the industrial development idea that originated this now empty area.

I believe it would be a great addition to the area and boost to the economy if you also allow weekend tournaments to be played

This with 2 gyms and an amphitheater would be awesome. we could host fish weigh ins. I've been coaching youth sports for over 25 years and everywhere we go people say they would love to come to G'ville and play anything!! This is our kids and grandkids future. Lets entice our young families to come back and raise their kids here. They will be the ones that spends money in our town and help it grow!

Guntersville is beautiful and has a lot to offer, but not for Sports.
