LADNER VILLAGE 6-STOREY BUILDING PROPOSAL - Dunbar / Bridge & Elliott St.

As a long term ladner resident who is hoping to return to the community eventually. I support densification to allow for affordability, but this project need revision and I Don it support it.

Ridiculous idea for a small historical village - where are the overall plans for the rest of Ladner

This development does not fit into the character of Ladner....it is simply too overwhelming...

This development is inappropriate for the downtown core.

Once again we have Delta City Council pressing on with a Project that should have a look in its size and scope that reflects the area in which it will be built. A Council that, under the shadow of Christmas and through Provincial Legislation. Thinks it is just Fine and OK to proceed without a Public Hearing. Mayor and Council from a lofty Height on High and looking down on those most affected. Delay, Delay Delay – Proceed Democracy, this is not. Rubbish, You Bet!

area too busy with traffic coming from river rd into Ladner at the four way stop Elliott st very congested already. roads cannot handle it

So many pockets of South Delta have increased in density in recent years - Captain's Cove area, Southlands, Tsawwassen Springs, the Tsawwassen lands - surely we can have lower density and design that preserves the historic significance of the community in the few blocks that comprise downtown Lander. The notion that increasing the density in the core with six storey buildings will make the heart of Ladner better is misguided and insensitive to the wishes of the community. Bigger and more is not necessarily better.

Why spoil a good thing? Keep Ladner Village's charm and character, please! Do NOT put up a 6-story building, for goodness sake!

I moved to Ladner because of the appeal of our village. Please don’t turn it into a clone of the bigger cities.

I am not opposed to development and densification, but the proposal as it stands is not a good fit with Ladner Village. Any developer that says they can't make a profit with less than six stories is lying.

I can't understand how Delta's mayor, a mayor of this area for many years- supposed to have Delta's residents best interests at heart- he clearly does NOT in this case-, would think this is a good idea for Ladner? What is lurking behind his ok for this?

Induced demand is real. We already have enough traffic gridlock. Ladner is a small town, and we dont want developers turning the entire ACLR into skyscrapers, which is exactly what they would do if we dont fight back. We dont want this 6 story building in our small town. Also cancel the tunnel replacement and bring back the ferry.

All of the comments made are valid ones indeed. This development must be approached with caution and care - there's no going back...

Keep Ladner historic, walkable and wonderful!

This is just the beginning of changes to our historic village that greedy developers have in mind just wait for what will happen on the waterfront if this goes through

I have sent emails to all Councillors with no reply. Please be democratic about this issue and realize there is a need to ammend the OCP

I think that this building is too high and not in keeping with the small town feel. Further out perhaps, but not in this little village. Totally inappropriate.

I agree with the Requested Revisions.I am especially concerned about the 6 story height. I would like to see a design that is in keeping with the heritage stye of the village

This development proposal needs to be revisited and revised to more appropriately reflect the unique character that is Ladner.

6 stories is WAY too high, and there will be WAY too much additional traffic in the village. Parking is already a nightmare! This is exactly the reason I moved away from Steveston after living there 28 years! Too much traffic, too long vehicle lineups, not enough parking, too many people, too much everything. I want the warm, village feel to remain, where the neighbours all know each other.
