Salaamun alaikum. Its about time that Muslim men uphold the rights of women and champion any legitimate cause of abuse of Muslim women.

I see a point with space for sisters. But what puzzles me is that for decades there has been a section for sisters at masjid ibn Umar (harts gap ) but I don't think I would have seen many of the sisters petitioning praying their Salat there .

This is repulsive. It is two faced to say women are regarded with high esteem yet deny us basic rights and make distinctions which treat us less than. #masjid4all

I am quite comfortable and happy praying at home, but there are times when we are on the go and need somewhere safe to stop and pray, but what about tourist when they travel here, last but not least I have a 3yr old daughter inshallah we will have these facilities in place for all our daughters. There is need for a woman section in the mosque ! This is the 21st century our ladies need someplace to be able to drop by and pray their salah if the need arises....come on let's be honest...What's worse ? Women praying in a secluded musjid where there is absolute privacy or women praying in a car park , pasture or wherever and there bums in the air to the public

THIS IS THE MOST OUTRAGEOUS THING I EVER HEARD. IN THE TIME OF THE PROPHET WOMEN ATTENDED FAJR SALAT AND THEY CANNOT ATTEND JUMAAH IN BARBADOS!!!

I fully support this petition.this is our right guaranteed by Allah.there is also a Hadith that states make a separate door for the Sisters to enter!our deen is fully inclusive! Do not let misguided un islamic ideas prevail!Allah honoured us Sistets with justice and full rights! Let those prevail insha Allah

I hope there is a respectable way of resolving the practical cry for the sisters space in the masjid and the age old tradition of the masjids in Barbados.
Allah be with you all.

Too long the ignorance of the Barbados Muslim community has turned a blind eye to something that is so common anywhere else you go. Women are the most blessed creation of Allah and to deny them the right to worship Allah in a house of prayer is backward in an age of advancement. Wake up Bajan Muslim community.

Sisters need to be included in masjid spaces. They also have to pray and when out will have to find a place to perform this Fard act. It will help in educating them and also strengthen ties of sisterhood.
