Males are not females. One cannot change biological sex. Males should not be in female prisons, or listed as females in statistics, or allowed to compete against females in sporting competitions. They should not be given places on all-women shortlists or have access to female-only shelters. Females have a right to discuss these matters, to organise and should not be compelled to use pronouns which they do not personally believe are true and correct. I am a Labour party voter and former member. I would change my vote over this issue.

Biological women need single sex spaces for their safety. Men making these decisions cannot understand how vulnerable women are. Gender is not a protected characteristic.

I am extremely concerned about the frequent erosion of women's sex based rights happening right now in the UK with the inclusion of biological males in women's sports, changing facilities, refuges, prisons, etc and the proposed changes to the GRA without in depth consultation with women's groups on how this is going to affect us. I have felt politically homeless so am hoping that this petition will result in an outcome where Labour commits to supporting the needs and protections of natal females.

Let's not confuse Sex with Gender. Patriarchy continues to oppress women full stop!

These are the undebatable facts: Women's rights are human rights, hard fought for & won. Men are NOT women, boys are not girls. Males predate on females. Look to CANADA to see the results of "Self-ID", eg Jessica Yaniv.

As a lifelong Labour voter and supporter, I feel it's vital the Party addresses the issue of women's sex based rights and states clearly that they will protect them. This will also help to ensure the bullying of women who want to assert their sex based rights is reduced, as leadership must send a strong message.

Biological women’s rights need to be protected. Safe spaces for women are essential and should be free of biological men.

I am unhappy about all-women shortlists including trans people and the erosion of the rights of women (a protected characteristic) to women-only spaces, sports activities and so on.

I'm post operative transsexual and while these women might never call me sister I do understand their concerns and stand with them. Gender is not biological sex and while you can be transgender if you have a penis you are most definitely male

This is a vote-stopper for me.

It should not be necessary to ask a Labour government to do this. It should be automatic!

We need an open discussion on the full implications of self Id before laws are changed. Good laws require thorough scrutiny.

I used to be a member of the Labour Party but left because of the all women's lists being opened to transwomen and the support for self ID. I feel that the laudable but naive move to ensure the rights of transgender people are upheld is pushing women's rights aside and marginalising women.

I believe in the rights of trans women and their protection from harassment or attack AND also that these rights should not impinge on the rights of natal women. Equal perhaps but NOT the same.

It took me a while to get my head around this issue. So glad I have now and can understand that there is a new attack on our rights. Not only that, but I feel that much ground has been lost in the last decade as people have become much more focussed on the individual and their own desires, rather than their true needs as part of a society with less respect for others - and this is hitting women’s rights disproportionately.
