Sex is a protected characteristic, and should remain so, for so many reasons.

Womanhood is not an opinion, a feeling nor a costume. No admirer of Magdalen Berns and her sisters past and future is going to sit back and let the hard won rights that we have fought for - alongside thousands of other women – be taken away. Womanhood is not up for grabs.

Little girls and women should have privacy. It's common sense.

If you can't define a woman, you can't protect her.

Women are oppressed & discriminated against on the basis of sex - because we're female. Women as a class have the right to organise to defend our sex-based rights. It is deeply saddening that LABOUR is failing to use class analysis & material reality to understand womens rights, instead deferring to post-modern notions of identity. You can't identify out of reality. You can't choose or change your sex. Stop prioritising male feelings over female rights.

Very pleased to see that Labour has got this off the ground. We’re witnessing one of the biggest societal changes in generations yet open debate has been completely shut down.

I do not consent to my sex based right being dismantled, I am a woman, it is a biological reality

It is about time this issue was taken up in the labour movement. I have been following the debate and am very worried about the effect on women of the GRA. There is a huge confusion between sex and gender that is not being challenged enough.

I am one of the many women who feels uncomfortable even in women only changing rooms, to open these to other genders will exclude me from some sports. We need to respect women and allow us to keep our personal areas

This is vital, let’s have a common sense Labour look at this and come to a solution where everyone is protected, liberated, able to thrive.

I condemn all attempts to undermine or limit the rights of women to self-organise and call on the Labour Party and the trades union movement to actively support these essential freedoms.

I belief it should be possible to protect people who feel compelled to present the social norms of the opposite sex ,without eroding women’s Sex based rights.

Recognising these rights and protections in no way interferes with those of trans people, indeed many of those who oppose these women's rights also attack trans people, de-transitioned people and intersex/DSD people who disagree with them.

I am moved by the comments of those who have already signed. Unless the Labour party fully supports the rights of women, Labour will not have my vote.

I am really concerned that we respect and value the rights of trans individuals and all individuals BUT I am also really concerned about a small loud group of trans male to females who dismiss the need for born females to have safe places away from male physical and sexual violence Women are still too far behind men in terms of rights and equality.
