That we have come this far and still this happens! Women need respect, protection and privacy, end of. It’s the law!

It beggars belief that women in the Labour party are being threatened with expulsion for making the case to retain their rights under the law, (and indeed in the Manifesto) and for defending a sensible, workable, common sense definition of what it means to be a particular sex. It is frightening to observe the bullying and dogma that are prevailing, this is not what the Labour party should ever be about, and needs to be reversed as soon as possible. We are letting everyone down.

It should not be left to the public to stand up for the rights of women, children, gays, lesbians and bisexuals, while party leaders are spineless and give in to trans bullying. But we must. There's only one 'hate group' here: trans activists swearing at us, issuing rape and death threats, demanding male access to all-woman spaces, and insisting their own crimes be recorded as the crimes of their main victims: women.

Genuinely shocked to hear Dawn Butler assert today that "no child is born with a sex". We all are, even people with disorders of sexual development. Whatever subjective opinions people hold about themselves, this is an absolute truth. It isn't progressive or liberal to deny it. It's terrifyingly stupid.

I live across the pond, in the beautiful mountains of Colorado -- and yet even there I heard of the importance of this cause, and I'm PROUD to sign my support! Women need safe spaces! Women need the chance to congregate, speak freely and play sports AMONG THEMSELVES!!! Our rights around the world, on my soil and yours, were fought for and won through the toil and perseverance of countless women before us, and those rights MUST be protected at all costs! Freedom isn't when you take rights from one group to give to another --- that's tyranny, and we must oppose it as mothers, sisters and daughters, TOGETHER! In love and strength we will prevail!!! ❤

Outrageous betrayal of women and gay people by the Labour leadership candidates. Total misogyny parading as tolerance and inclusion. Shockingly STUPID to capitulate once again to the desires of men. All of you have shown your idiocy and weakness and therefore your unsuitability to lead anyone or anything.

Alt liberalism is slowly seeping into every crevice of our personal and professional life. We must work as one to recreate spaces for safe constructive discussion on this and a whole range of subjects. It is the slow creep of totalitarianism. Shame on you .

I have spent the last couple of days (up til 4.30am today reading up on the candidates for the leadership election). This drew me into the issue of the Equalities Act 2010 and Labour proposals in the GRA. I have always considered myself to be a feminist. I am shocked at the attitude of leadership contenders about our sex-based rights calling women transphobic and expelling them from the Party. As a working class woman (still working part-time at the age of nearly 76) I have always voted Labour. However, I am having serious doubts about Labourt's commitment to me as a woman with 3 young grand-daughters; I have no wish for myself or them to be subject to any form of potential male harassment or offence which could result from shared sex hospital wards or changing rooms ad infinitum. I want myself, my lovely grand-daughters and all women to have protection under the Equalities Act 2010. We are 50% of the population and we should have our rights protected. I am leaving the Labour Party until they can sort themselves out over this fundamental issue of women's sex-based rights.

The treatment of woman who try to speak out about these issues is on par with a witch hunt. Labour need to speak out on this subject.

I choose to swim at my local pool at the women only session. It is vital for me to continue to have that choice.

I am a life long Labour voter but Labour's dismissal of my hard earned sex-based rights is the last straw. Don't you realise most voters support women and girls on this issue; only the shut down of debate, the concealing of facts and fear of being labelled a bigot gets in the way

All this virtue signalling to both Transgender Activists and Islam, demeans women's hard fought for equality. Of course they should all have equal rights and not be discriminated against, but what about the rights of actual women to feel safe physically and safe to express their opinion?

This declaration has stopped me leaving the Labour party for now - cannot believe that potential leaders are dismissing valid discussion as hate groups.
