Women's sex-based rights are being pitched against trans rights. Trans rights activists are demanding that biological women be stripped of their identity, ultimately to enable full access to 'womanhood' for gender dysphoric males. We are no longer permitted to identify on the basis of our sex, to refer to reproductive science or terminology, to acknowledge our collective experiences of misogyny and oppression, without being labelled as 'trans-exclusionary', as expressed in the hate term, 'Terf'. This extreme ideology denies women their sex-based rights. It also serves to undermine the support many women feel for those experiencing gender dysphoria, and indeed transsexual women and trans women have both spoken out against it. It leaves me, personally, completely conflicted since I fully support trans identities and Self-ID (I understand the formal transitioning process to be gruelling, plus I have reservations about any 3rd party's ability to 'judge' any individual's internal experience) but this seems to have been driven to be a zero-sum game, incompatible with the rights of each side. The debate needs to be enabled, not smothered, and women's sex-based rights must continue to be protected, alongside trans rights. It cannot simply be accepted that trans women subshume biological women.

I have been a supporter for more than 20 years. I cannot vote for the party in its current state and I spoiled my ballot at the last election. Identity politics is ruining the Labour movement.

I support transwomen in having safe spaces. I also support biological women to have safe spaces-free from male bodied people.

the real problem is what constitutes a woman, in the opinion of most people, at the very least it is a person who does not have a penis!

To suggest that A woman’s place or LGB alliance are hate groups is McCarthyist and ignorant

Cannot believe 2 female Labour leadership candidates have supported the labour transgender pledge to the detriment of women's rights.

I was a formerly a Labour party member but seeing this type of shaming and bullying of women (by men, even if they call themselves trans women) means I cannot support Labour at this time

How dare the Labour Party treat women’s rights with such contempt and the women that seek to uphold them with such distain. Shame on you!
