(females sex) should be recognised as a protected characteristic .We should be able to discuss womens rights freely. Biological women and girls are killed, raped , abused and exploited more than any other group and have a right to legal protection and safe spaces.

I stand against dogma and populism. Gender theory is both. I support the right of trans people to live in their chosen gender.

Since joining a union in 1990 to fight the sex-based discrimination I was subjected to, I am astonished that this petition is necessary in 2021. Women's rights are human rights.

Sex-based rights, protections, and recognitions are vital for acknowledging and respecting the reality of women, lesbians and gay men. You cannot erase or erode 'sex' without erasing and eroding the immutable reality of what it means to be male or female, to be homosexual--our lived, biological experiences. Sex is not an interchangeable costume. Respect and acknowledge objective, empirical reality and science. Don't fall prey to pseudoscientific nonsense, 'beliefs', and 'identity' politics that have everything to do with the perpetuation of sexist, racist, homophobic, misogynistic, and bigoted stereotypes. We live in a shared, objective, mutually-experienced reality. It is this reality that we distinguish from delusion, fantasy, hallucination and mental illness. Base legislation, rights, protections on what is real. Biological sex classes are real. A man in a dress declaring himself a woman, or a lesbian, is not grounded in reality. Of course, he's free to do whatever he wants and has every right to, but he doesn't have the right to appropriate an immutable reality that is not his--for society to participate in his beliefs when he declares himself a woman, or a lesbian. For grants, scholarships, sports, refuges, political representation that belong to women to be expected to accommodate him at the cost of women. For young lesbian girls to be groomed into the belief that 'men' can be lesbians. Equality is about respect objective reality, and the things that make us all different. It is NOT about erasing it. How can you think a man in a dress is the same as a girl facing FGM? How can you think it's acceptable for men (who are responsible for 98% of sex-based criminal offences) should be allowed to 'identify' their way into women's bathrooms, changing rooms, refuges, etc.? It's not okay. That is NOT equality. Women do not have to put up with this. Lesbians and gay men do not have to put up with this. Respect reality, not delusion.

My Grandmother fought for womens sex based rights and these need to remain in place. Women are still being oppressed based on sex.

Please lets get the word out that protecting sex-based rights does not make us transphoic.

Women have worked too hard & too long to let this happen. We have strength in numbers. Please get everyone you know to sign these petitions. We will never back down defending our rights. We will prevail. Every woman should be outraged by this enough to take action. We will show the world that we can & will overcome anything these radicals or anyone will throw at us that is destroying & undermining everything we have accomplished.

I want an apology. I want explanations. I want justice. I want safe guards put in place. I want this entire shameful chapter in Human history forever taught in schools. I will forever fight for my ancient cultural right to be a Woman. I want to know who thought it was a great idea to erase us from Law... and who thought we'd be pathetic enough to accept it. Thanks to all the amazing people who had to waste their precious energy and time putting this idiocy right.

I left the Labour Party after 40 years support and membership when Jeremy Corbyn stated that "A man is a woman if he says he is".... and shocked that seemingly ALL the labour MPs seem to agree with that statement. I had hoped that Keir Starmer would take a different stand and scrap the ludicrous proposed "self-id" amendment to the GRA - but it remains LP policy and would be implemented if they came to power. I have no political home right now as all other opposition parties seem to be promoting this ideological nonsense.

Left the Labour membership because of Jeremy Corbyn’s treatment. Will rejoin when they have remembered who they are supposed to be fighting for...including for women’s HARD FOUGHT sex based rights

I have been branch sec and Treasurer and on CLP exec, done knocking up run street stalls and leafletting, in other words put a lot of time and effort into supporting Labour. But left when Labour let men on all women lists and is unwilling to say what a woman is, thus selling out women's sex - based rights, including imperilling women's safety by denying us women only spaces. Will never get my vote unless this changes.
