LABOUR WOMEN'S DECLARATION

Allowing transgender women access to women only spaces is an attack on the fundamental rights of women. Gender may be Non binary but sex is binary. One can change one's gender but can never change one's sex. All the cells in the body of a transgender female are male and always will be. They cannot be changed, no matter what one does . Only the outer appearance of the body can be changed. Transgender people deserve respect and inclusion in society. Their beliefs do not trump the rights of women.

womens rights are human rights. Trans rights are for trans. The 2 are not the same and should not be treated the same.

I wasn't abused as a child because I 'identify' as female. I wasn't raped because I 'identify' as female. Those things happened because I was BORN female. My safety and dignity relies on spaces remaining single sex. That is all I ask. Respect females needs for spaces away from natal born men.

Keep single sex spaces for females only . Sex not Gender is a protected characteristic.

It is shocking that gender, defined by the World Health Organisation as “the characteristics of women and men that are socially constructed” and therefore the basis of all sex discrimination, is now used to define what women are. Women have fought to free themselves from societal discrimination, how is it now being used as their definition.

Women are oppressed due to their sex, you know this. Please grant us protected status.

Women are a distinct biological sex class and separate from the male. Humans cannot change their sex, observed at birth. Stop erasing Women.

I cannot see myself ever voting for Labour again if it is so blind to this massive social injustice it is being co-opted by and subsequently propagating. Unbelievable that you can move in - and approve and promote - a direction of travel that is harming women and girls, silencing female voice (#metoo seems a long time ago) and ignoring biology, science and nature.
