Sex is immutable. Women are people; distinct from men by means of biology. This is fact.

I resigned from the Labour Party for other reasons ( as of April 2020). Why is it so difficult to have a respectful conversation about this issue? It reflects so badly on the Labour Party.

I shall give up Labour Party Membership, after a lifetime of such, if things don't change.

They have controlled us for millennia to own the means of reproduction - now they are going to pretend we do not exist - women don’t exist only people - breasts don’t exist only chests - that’s fine - they had better get those artificial wombs up and running soon - then men and women can just be people - perhaps they will be removing all those eggs as soon as a baby girl is born to send to the baby factory where of course the men will be in crates ready to milk!!!

Intersectionality has become toxic- we need real data science collection, unafraid of publishing for fear if being cancelled. Well done to all academics who haven't become victim to ideology.

"women" are the only majority group that are systematically made to feel like a minority whilst at the same time being forbidden to speak solely about itself

Sex based rights and spaces must be protected. It is not hate speech to say this.

Women have fought for too long to abandon the rights we have won.

The Labour party has always been the party of my family. I have always voted Labour, I'm a working class woman who has suffered a lot under Tory measures. I have lived on welfare, in hostels, and I have experienced the madness of being in the most vulnerable situation, traumatised in a hostel, with an aggressive male claiming to be a woman. In this case he was a 50 something sex offender, I was 23, homeless after an attempted rape by an intruder. I would expect the party of the working classes to care - not lord it up with arrogance and misogyny, from screaming at attendees of A Woman's Place to making demands they are forced out. All based on a theoretical, elitist, authoritarian concept, built with misrepresented statistics and not a shred of class analysis. I cannot believe we as women are being treated as the oppressor class. I stand in solidarity with all vulnerable people and I will fight side by side with trans people in their needs for their own spaces, hostels, services. Just stop letting your middle class, spoilt and clueless activists terrorise us

We must not erase the distinction of biological sex from our laws. Biology matters, sex matters. We must not let identity replace sex in the law. There are ways that we can protect the rights of trans people without infringing on the rights of female women to sometimes have certain spaces and services by and for themselves, and to talk about their lived experience using their own words.
