A siren at the L7 Apartments goes off every time a car exits and enters the underground parking garage. Not only is the decibel level unnecessarily loud, but this siren also blasts over 200 times per day- day & night, 24x7.
According to the San Francisco Building Dept. and the Dept of Street Use, there is NO code requirement or city ordinance for such a siren. Other parking structures within the City simply use a speed-bump or a flashing “watch for cars” sign to warn pedestrians.
We hope this petition will encourage the property mgmt company for L Seven to disable this siren out of respect for those who live nearby.

The people running L7 are finally starting to feel the heat because of how many of you stepped up to demand an end to this constant noise pollution. They thought they could ignore us while we lost sleep but this surge of momentum proves they were dead wrong.

Please stop the siren. The noise keeps us awake every night, and is so loud that no amount of soundproofing helps.
I have lived at 1247 Harrison St. #26 for 14 years. The L7 garage pedestrian siren is the loudest consistent sound on this block. I can hear cars leaving the L7 garage from inside my office on the back of the building. This disturbance occurs during all hours and all days of the week.
The siren is is affecting my quality of life at my home as my loft is directly across the street and it goes off at all hours of the day and night. This needs to stop. PERIOD.
Simply put, its NOISE POLLUTION!! It's ridiculous, completely unnecessary and needs to end!

This siren is making uninterrupted sleep at night impossible, something must be done.
Please stop the noise and siren.... the garbage collection noise is causing so much noise and waste attracted so many hopeless folks to sort thru' the garbage containers... City Supervisors, #DO YOUR JOB....

I am a homeowner at 1221 Harrison, directly across the street from L7. The frequency and volume of this unnecessary siren is disruptive and inappropriate for a block that is primarily residential. Homeowners and tenants are suffering from this noise pollution.
