The council must promote equestrian activities in the Shire because it's positive and community building, not to mention part of the history of the area.

There is plenty of beach space at Kurnell to accommodate people with their horses and dogs . Come on SSC this has worked harmoniously for generations. As a child and a teen and adult I rode horses on Kurnell beach and more recently my children and grandchildren have ridden their horses there. Don't allow a few to spoil this beautiful and unique lifestyle of Kunell village.

Re The shires history about horses!
Also the shire is a family orientated area where the family dog is apart of the family!

Wake up SSC, listen to the rate payers and don’t make us a nanny state. Dogs & horses played harmoniously with people on Silver Beach up till not so long ago. You have decided to raise the population in the area and now the citizens have to pay for these changes through no choice of their own. Progress is fantastic however common sense is still a requirement.

Who’s idea was it in the first place to stop people taking their dogs to the beach? Obviously they don’t have a dog and it don’t effect them.. What’s next ??

I’ve had the privilege of walking my dogs along Silver Beach for the past 20 years. It’s totally enjoyable and the kids and families are out and about together doing family fun on the beach. People are very aware of picking up any doggy doos and the beachbis kept clean.

Even if the arears are on leash. The council does nothing to clean the beaches and now they “own them” it’s a joke. Put more parks in around development and address the issue of no recreational space and an influx of residents

used to ride my horse on the beach, a joyous experience. My little dog loves this beach with its safe, shallow water. Please allow your residents to continue to use and enjoy this unique facility. It is there for everyone.

Kurnell is unique. If you prefer dog and horse free beaches go elsewhere. Early and late in the day beaches are deserted.
