It is doing a Mitzvah (act of kindness) for the elderly, and brings the community together. Carve up that Hot Corn beef sandwich for me please, I’m coming over to eat and schmooze. Any older single men around, LOL. .

In my opinion, the reason that Noah's Ark didn't do well is because it's a restaurant and the prices may have been too high for some residents. If instead of a kosher restaurant a kosher fast food place took over Noah's Ark's space (such as Kosher Delight or Chap-a-Nosh) I think it would do a better business.

The LES needs a Glatt Kosher sit-down restaurant for both it's Orthodox residents and those that kosher observe and come to visit.

Do any of you actualyl live in Seward Park?? It doesn't appear that way. Also, is this petition for ANY Kosher restaurant? It seems that is true too. How can you justify wanting a Kosher place when you had one, and no one went to it and it now owes the coop thousands of dollars???? tha'ts pretty lame. if you want a real kosher palce that wil lthrive, why dont you actively call Talia or Abigaels and have them respond to the stupif 'Space for rent" sign on Noahs Ark, as that seems t obe the only way to get the Seward board to pay attention to any offers. Lame petition btu I do thin kyour heart is in the right place.

Even something like a Kosher Delight. They were uptown near Macys and their rent tripled so they had to close that location. They still have one location in Brooklyn.

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/kosher-restaurant-in-seward-park http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/kosher-restaurant-in-seward-park Dear friends, neighbors and community leaders: Early next week the Seward Board of Directors will decide who will rent the restaurant space at 399 Grand St, formerly Noah's Ark. There have been bids from four restaurants for the rental space and one of them is a glatt kosher meat restaurant. We want the Board to know how very important a kosher meat restaurant is to our community and this signed petition (see LINK ABOVE) will be presented before the meeting. PLEASE sign and FORWARD THIS TO ALL ON YOUR EMAIL LIST as well as your friends and neighbors in our community or not. Thank you, Diane
