I have respect and admiration for people who volunteer to serve and represent our community. It is clear that there are many who need and want a kosher resturant and it is the responsibility of those elected as Board members to represent the many who they are supposed to represent. I am not kosher, but I am all for a kosher restaurant in the co-op commercial space. Thank you.

The Lower East Side is an integral focal point for the Jewish people of New York City. Indeed, one may safely say that the Lower East Side is the bedrock of our people here in New York and has much history - both culturally and from a religious perspective - to offer to generations to come. Thus, this restaurant is vital to us. It will bring people back - first as visitors - and then as residents. I live not far away (in Downtown) and strongly support this.
