We the undersigned hereby demand that the Canadian government reinstate the tariff free import status of all kosher cheese products from the United States. As Canadian citizens we have inalienable rights to be able to excercise our free choice to continue to have equal access to previously fully available kosher cheeses from the United States. Only communist and fascist regimes would dictate what available products their citizens may have access to. We do not want to be dictated to.

Why should we pay $26+ per kg of cheese when only a year and a half ago it was $10/kg. I usually buy 980g bags of shredded cheese, or similar weight in sliced cheese for my family. A good price used to be $9.99, now I see $26.99+, with sales of $15-16. Cottage cheese went from $4.29 to 7.99. What happened to 2% inflation, the kosher market gets 150% because we rely on imported goods.

This government restriction is making obtaining kosher cheese very difficult & costly in the Maritime provinces! It is unacceptable.

Kosher cheese has become so expensive lately. It makes no sense that a basic product like this should be taxed.

It's a disgrace that a country like Canada with open markets does not allow capitalism to work freely and unhindered. Allow for the import of kosher cheese to satisfy the consumer needs without any additional taxes or tariffs

This is totally unfair. Some of My children stopped eating cheese, they liked a certain brand and now it is not available in Canada.

My wife and I strongly encourage that you continue to allow the kosher cheeses imported as you have in the past. My wife (who is a professional kosher chef) usses these cheese's often, and respectfully request that they continue to be brought in. Thank you!
