Our community needs to come together and support these types of places for kids and adults. Why not take this as an opportunity to create a new bike park in an environment where there can be some oversight to make sure there are no unhealthy influences being introduced? Let's be honest- if they aren't riding here then they'll just be riding somewhere else. Better to keep it someplace safe and close to home, in a place built by locals who care about our community!

I'm 43 and have been riding their for years it keeps the kids from riding street and putting others at risk its healthier than playing video games or doing drugs

I am a father of boys that race and jump Bmx , it has been such a positive way of life for them . You have to keep kids busy doing fun things or else they start to get into trouble. Kopachuck jumps are a prime example this . They have to stay!!!

Leaving ourselves and our kids a place to ride their bikes in the woods should be mandatory. It is dissapointing to see all the areas like this disappear. Please let's help raise a generation that can do more than play video games and the occasional stick and ball sports!

The peninsula school district should worry less about a place where kids can go to have fun and instead work on keeping kids in school. I mean this Literally. I went to peninsula high and once I had my license there was no form of checkout in order to leave campus whenever we pleased. I know at Gig Harbor they monitor the student parking lot and you even need a pass to leave the lot. This wasn't true when I was in school.
