Thank you for your hard work in trying to keep us safe. I am so sorry for the way some Knox Countians have treated you all with disrespect, especially the County Mayor. Despicable!

The actions of County Mayor Jacobs to cause even great division by exploiting our circumstances in grappling with a pandemic are despicable. Our Board of Health should be respected for its prudent and thorough deliberartions, the design of its composition preserved, and its authority unassailed.

The Knox County Health Department is a valuable asset to our community. They have done an excellent job in advising and informing Knox County during this pandemic. We should continue to wear masks and socially distant ourselves from one another. We should follow the advice of our scientists and medical professionals.

I support the Board of Health’s efforts to protect public health in Knoxville.

I am proud of the Board of Health for their pro-science stance. Keeping the public safe is not a popularity contest, and those who think they have a right to risk the health of others for their own convenience/economic gain are not the people who should be in charge.

It times of public crises, we should place our trust in those with expertise rather than those hoping to burnish their political careers. That’s exactly why the Board of Health was formed to make decisions to protect the public based on medicine and science instead of self-serving politics.

Glen Jacobs needs to follow And support Knox County Health Department guidelines and not cave to the business interests

The Board of Health was created and given their current responsibilities for wise reasons. Their fact-based work is vitally important during this once-in-a-lifetime global pandemic. We cannot allow politicians to make decisions that require medical expertise since they are easily swayed by a vocal minority and bullies. Leave the BOH intact so we can save lives and our local economy at the same time. So much valuable time is being wasted by those fighting the BOH rather than the virus.
