Knox Countians Support Knox County Board Of Health

Maintain the County Board authority to protect from COVID doubters.

As long as those business owners also have a modicum of proven medical expertise, I would have no objection. I also think they should be non-voting members of the BOH as their motives may not best serve public health policy.

Please allow experts to lead us thru this pandemic. Our current government officials struggle to get us thru this hard time--no state mandate for masks, allowing bars to stay open, etc. They are swayed by the voters rather than by science.

The KCBOH needs to be in charge. Period. The vaccine program must be ramped up. Changing horses mid stream will only make things more difficult. The county mayor and the KC Commissioners need to stop their meddling ways. It will be another tough 6 months ahead of us. Let the Board do their job.

This is not about politics, it's about keeping our citizens and health care workers safe - science over emotions.

Knox Co. Board of Health is focused on the wellbeing of the people of Knox Co. Knox Co. government should follow recommendations from the Board of Health, because they are the experts.

I completely support the Knox County Board of Health and appreciate their tireless volunteer effort to keep Knox Co. as safe as possible!

We all benefit from physicians, nurses, and public health scientists on the Board’s carefully considered opinions and data. It gives me confidence to go to court to work and to go out to shop. Their efforts will open up our community faster and more safely than just plowing through blindly based on wishful thinking and guesswork.

Thank you for your efforts to guide us through this. Deaths are not the only measurement of the impact on our health. Many individuals are not choosing to protect themselves and others; science-based mandates and cooperation are necessary.

Commissioners, you are striking down your fellow man by ignoring the health ramifications of this pandemic. Shame. Let the Health Department do their job! We cannot have an economy if people get sick and die.
