A must, he was a heroic human.

I have always heard of the airport referred to as Paul Fournet Airfield..

As one of Paul Fournets 16 grandchildren whose 1st job was in one of the hangars, i sign my name!

In case you're hesitant, and so that all know, this is a VERY common practice to honor deserving ones. Current examples- Baton Rouge Metro Airport - Ryan Field Prescott Municipal Airport, Ernest A. Please take this opportunity to reognize Mr. Paul Fournet.

Paul Fournet deserves this honer. He is notable in thej history of Lafayette alone and in specific to Lafayette aviation history. THere are few memorial efforts which are as deserving as this in the history of Lafayette.

CHief was a good man, a friend, and served the aviation community well in Lafayette. He should receive this honor!

Name the airport after an aviation icon in Acadana instead after some politician or trumpet player

My father flew for Mr. Paul for years and if I could sign this petition 1,000,000 times I would. He was such a great man and a giver to the community that he loved. He was greatly missed when he passed but this will allow his legacy to endure for centuries!!!!!

I believe it would be both fitting and appropriate to honor Mr. Fournet in this way. His contributions to general aviation in Acadiana simply cannot be overstated.
