I think they should not make the Kitchener people suffer for this. I think the idea of the concert is great. Last year, with Aerosmith and other good named bands, it was a success. I think you should keep the Music Fest here in Kitchener but bring in better bands like Kiss, Motley Crue, Hedley, ACDC(Don't think they will be touring any more), Pink, Def Lepard etc. Please keep it going but do a better job with the lineups and with listening to the public, the people of the City in which you are setting the music up for.

They really should find out why the Winnipeg Folk Festival does so well and run like their event like theirs .Another thing they can do I basically scrap the has been bands and get more international bands as well as get Canadian bands who are getting followings like WOTE. The blues and rock fests are overdone in Ontario and placement of venue.... Cambridge has many venues that could hold events such as Shades Mills and or Dunbar Park not EVERYTHING has to be in Kitchener but Waterloo regional council seems to think so.

I agree some money should be given back. If I was scheduled to work and it was canceled I would not get paid. It only the responsible thing to do.

I think that BMF knew months ago that ROD/BLONDIE was a no-go...the Soundgarden day was heavily promoted.

these events need to support themselves, if they want government funding I want to see the expense report and see what Mark Higgins paid himself.

Certainly the grant should be refunded by the promotor, if not in full, then at least a prorated amount. The promotor did not fulfill his end of the agreement.

My disappointment at the Sunday cancellation meant that people we invited from out-of-town decided to bypass the event so a "contract" between ON Government - based on the planned weekend - should be looked at closely in future years but the promoter should offer a refund of $ without the government asking.

It's great that you're trying to ressurect the careers of these has-been bands but please don't do it on my dime!

Definitely some of the money should be refunded since with one day less there has to be a significant decrease in the economic impact to the community.

A big waste of taxpayer's money. These were bands that I had no interest in seeing and obviously, not many others did either.

Total waste of money. This event has fizzled and should be left to die.

This show has very little relevance as they do not book any acts that people are interested in. That is why they had to cancel the one day and why attendance on the other days was low. This is not worth funding and they should return all not part of the money.

Horrible location/setup. Total waste of tax money:
i) for an entire missing day
ii) for headlining band Soundgarden to finish 7mins early...with the stage crew immediately throwing on the lights; for everyone to leave!

Why does this event get any taxpayer money at all? Does every other music, arts, or cultural event get grants too? I don't think so. Until this news came out I had no idea my taxpayer dollars were being wasted here.
Fair enough, my hand is up in favour
