Kirklees Bereavement Price Hike

Say no to increase in burial fees

The lack of transparency and proper Consultation will only lead to a travesty and the waste of public funds in the attempts to defend a bad decision when challenged through the Courts. In the circumstances, any decision to be made needs to be held in abeyance until proper consultation and representations have been made by those concerned.

Its absolutely ridiculous as kirkless should be accountable for money wasted over many years and on top of that charging nearly twice as much for burial is beyond belief as eveybody know we r leaving the world . ( Punish the dead at the most difficult times )

The cost is to high!

Strongly disagree with the price hike. People are struggling enough already and to hit them again at the time of bereavement is a shameless act. What is the kirkless council thinking?

Kirklees have got a incredibly poor record of wasting local tax payers money. They have an immoral and non transparent approach and now are trying to claw back revenue to balance the coffers from the decades of wastage that has been taken place without scrutiny
