It is morally and humanly absurd to raise burial prices to the proposed costs.
Perhaps the council should seek to recover costs from those who pass away from alcohol and/or drug related deaths and then perhaps our hospitals would be financially viable to operate and save those who are genuinely ill.

Totally unacceptable by the council. Trying to rob the deceased even after their gone, council rates alone were not enough for the council while the deceased was Alive!!!
