People find it hard to pay bills and put food on the table. An extra problem to deal with when losing family and freinds. Funeral poverty.
Please save money elsewhere. No need to increase burial costs.

We all understand that we’re still in the grip of the recession! Cuts are necessary in all departments and increasing fees for other services, but such a big hike in burial charges is a definite No.
The council needs to look at other sources where they can increase their charges, the wages aren’t rising at all and they trying to push the burial charges without consulting the people who voted them in, the council needs to look into this situation very carefully.
