I strongly disagree with this increase on burials.....death is something we do not prepare for it is so insensitive.

Absolutely appalled at this decision bad enough to pay £2000 when losing a loved one but to double it upto twice the amount is absolutely absurd and immoral. To say the UK is in the position it is in due to us as a nation. Then to tax ya own nation even at death after they've given you their whole lifes worth of tax is not only immoral but a disgrace to humanity. As a citizen of UK I feel i shouldnt even have to pay for a plot thats the least my country should be able to offer me really. Especially at death I gotta stress to my dying days if my loved ones can afford to lose me how ridiculous is that. Please I advise to rethink this through and to totally scrap the fee for British Citizen only thats the least you can offer us after all we do to input not only kirklees but the greater community UK itself. As the late Joe Coxx pointed out just Batley alone contributes so much alone with just the factories and food industries we have here to the British economy not just kirklees and for you scrutinise us as a community by inflating the fees. Where is your humanity. Seriously how can you sleep peacefully having made such a decision ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!!!

Totally unfair - the cost is a massive increase which doesn't go in line with the increase in household income. So where would Kirklees council expect this amount to be dug out from.
