Kirkland City Council needs to stick to the agreed upon 20 year plan

Next time we have an election I hope we get some new candidates. Especially since the city council selects all of the board and commission members.

The city is revising their tree retention policy to keep more trees but Developers are pushing back. Write the city.

I support this. Kirkland should follow a well developed plan (+ infrastructure) with regular reviews to measure progress and account for changes in currently available data. Revisions supported with good data, business cases and some level of (previously agreed upon) community buy-in should be allowed. Poorly planned growth will have repercussions that won't be as easily fixed because $$$$

I am so tired of listening to "...but it's supply and demand," "blah blah free market capitalism blah blah blah." America wasn't founded on capitalism and our forefathers warned us of it. Go somewhere else with that crap. It's the greed of free market capitalism that drives developers and home owners to try and make as much money as possible while hurting our society as a whole. Everyone wants the largest piece of the pie instead of thinking about what's right for society as a whole. Kirkland is suffering from this greed, same as the rest of the country. It's time to get back on track with what the citizens approved of, not the whims of developers.

Traffic is already well beyond a reasonable capacity on 132nd Ave NE near NE 85th Street during commute hours! Don't make it worse by over-crowding this area with high-density living!

Ridiculous location for a multi-family development on an street thats already over capacity

The traffic on this street is already terrible and to let a builder make it worse is not right!

Would be a traffic nightmare for our neighborhood!

I've lived in the Kirkland area (Juanita) since 1965. I wholeheartedly agree to stop more expansion of growth in Kirkland!
