Kirkland City Council needs to stick to the agreed upon 20 year plan

This is wrong on so many levels. The rezoning, loopholes, violations of city plans. Like what is going on?! Just another reason why I don’t plan on living here long term. The traffic is already bad enough, the taxes keep going up, and the city cares more about these projects than the people they affect.

The city council should be held accountable for approving projects that violate the codes.

I am living on 132nd Ave and traffic has become worse and worse over the recent years with mile long backups along the street. The infrastructure in North Rose Hill simply has not been built to handle such a project.

I dread this development it especially the way it’s being executed. The developer is getting carte blache while the traffic and existing, neighboring homes suffer. Shame on the city for allowing yet another poorly planned development go into South Rose Hill.

This original plan needs to be retained by the city. The negatives will out way the positive and will change our neighborhood severely.

We have lived in our house for 39 years right off of 132nd and N.E. 104th St. We cannot cross 132nd anymore beginning 4:00 ish to 7:00 ish unless someone stops to let us cross 132nd in both directions!!! One time I sat there in my car for over 15 minutes waiting to cross until someone let me out!!! Once it is 3:00 pm until 7:00 ish I no longer go anywhere because of the traffic-I dread trying to cross that street always wondering is this the time I am going to get hit!!!

The current roads and highways are overwhelmed. Better infrastructure is required before any further development.

I don’t want this in my neighborhood, there isn’t anymore room in rose hill! It’s inhumane to overdevelop our neighborhood - it’s not necessary!!! There’s already too much traffic and schools are already overcrowded!!!

Deeply concerned that there are no quality of life amenities such as playground space included in the plans, but also that 85th and 132nd traffic conditions are already life-impacting.

I AGREE that The city council should stick to our 20 year comprehensive plan of 8,361 housing units. As the plan states "Kirkland 2035: Your Voice. Your Vision. Your Future." Especially since our current growth plan of 8,361 units will result in increased traffic volumes, congestion, and increased sales taxes. Stay with the existing zoning in our neighborhoods. We do not want overgrowth and excessive density in our neighborhoods.

How many mixed use buildings do we really need? With every new "retail space" you push another small business out of the area. This is not good for Kirkland. We are not Bellevue nor Seattle. Stick to the plan already in place and stop catering to the whims of developers.

I live in a condo for 25 years at the bottom of 132nd and I can’t get out of my driveway from 3:30 to 7:00 pm with the traffic as it is now. They added the road because they failed to add a north bound lane to the 405. There are no sidewalks and only two lanes. The noise is also awful the units on the street side can’t even hold a conversation at their own front door. There is no room for anymore traffic on 132!!! 85th is bumper to bumper now as well. Projects that line only a few pockets that lower the quality of life for existing Kirkland residents needs to stop before its to late.

This is bad idea and creates lots of problem for community around this development. We don't have infrastructure to support this kind of growth.

No more unnecessary growth to overwhelm our community!

I cannot believe this is even being considered. Every bit of Kirkland's infrastructure is already overwhelmed. Get a grip on what and who we have first.

Concerned about the plans, especially the impact on infrastructure.

As a N. Rose Hill homeowner, I do not support these changes to the neighborhood zoning as I already deal with the increased traffic around my childrens' school. I oppose changes in zoning that would result in high rise apartments in a business district.

I don't know why you keep asking about buildings, as you turn around and do as you please. why can't you check thing out 1st. such as SCHOOLS, Roads, Medics, and Taxes. your game is to see how much impact you can do. why don't you get real, and thinks about things other then the money??? You put all this stuff in, what about kids and a lot of other things. Like I have said before, you probably don't even live in the area.
