Kingsgate has been home for several years now. Why change the name? Evergreen Hill makes it generic and makes it like the hospital is the only thing recognizable about the area. Kingsgate is a solid name that differentiates it from the boring sounding areas peppered throughout Washington. Not once have I heard that the name should be changed from any of the local residents in the area. Kingsgate would lose part of its identity as a distinct location and be glossed over by people interested in moving to the neighborhood. What has been the purpose of changing the name? "Some residents" have stated? if there is a statistically driven argument to change I'd like to hear it. In full, please leave the name as it is.

I was was raised in Kingsgate...it has akwats been Kingsgate for me and my family. Don't take a name away from a town who has a lot of people who were once kids in that area now who have their own families started. Our memories are Kingsgate....period. Leave the name the same and those who want the name changed obviously didn't grow up, know the area and what it means to everyone else!

I've lived in the same Kingsgate home since 1976. Naming our area Evergreen Hill would be an outrage!

Evergreen Hill? That is ridiculous. Why don't we change the name of United States of America to Central North America? Leave a good thing a good thing. Those who have no sense of tradition and/or loyalty need to find their own place to name, not change the name of a place that has such a great history and tradition, as Kingsgate.

one of the first residents to have our home built in the "planned community" of Kingsgate in 1966...raised my family there forming wonderful memories in Kingsgate...love the name established long ago and see no need to change it
