Those few residents that may want to change who we are, which is KINGSGATE, will still be known as living in Kingsgate no matter what you want to call yourself. KINGSGATE is and always will be who we are... residences, businesses, and one awesome community!

Perhaps Evergreen Hill seems more upscale to some people, but we are a unique and diverse community and need to retain our name and history.

I have lived in Kingsgate for 42 years. I do not want the name changed. When I go for directions, it often comes up that I live in Kingsgate, Washington. We are mentioned on all traffic reports. LEAVE THE NAME ALONE.

A compromise would be to name it "Kingsgate Hill"

As residents of the area for more than 39 years, we don't want the area to change it's name

Most everyone that has grown up in the area knows the area as Kingsgate. A lot of historical documents refer to the area as Kingsgate. It makes little sense to change it because of the annexation. A lot of public documents also refer to the area as Kingsgate and would require the need for unnecessary changes to public information. For example, the Kingsgate Park & Ride, for one. Not to mention private businesses that adopted the name.

The problem with this is that crimes are being reported in the "evergreen Hill area" and We don't know about it cause it's known by everyone here in the area as Kingsgate.. We do not agree that referring to the area as Kingsgate confuses anyone or anything with the various Kingsgate Homeowner's Associations. There's been enough name changes, let's keep it!!
