February 2013. There is crisis in Israel regarding a shortage of Nurses and Physicians. In an attempt to solve the Physican shortage, the Kinesset has enacted emergency legislation to Fast Track the approval of new immigrant Physician licenses. In light of the current nursing shortage in Israel, we propose that the Israeli Kinesset collaborate with the Misrad HaBriut to enact legislation to Fast Track the approval of new immigrant Nurses with valid licenses from other countries as well.

I spoke with a nurse today who has been waiting months for her paperwork to clear while our hospitals are stretched to the breaking point. It is infuriating to see qualified professionals sitting on the sidelines when our healthcare system needs them the most. We are preparing to bring these personal stories directly to the ministry to demand they stop ignoring this talent.

Seeing this momentum grow reminds me of the sleepless nights my own sister spent waiting for her credentials to be recognized while our hospitals remained desperate for staff. It is clear that so many of you understand the urgency of this crisis and refuse to let these qualified professionals sit on the sidelines any longer.

Why is it so hard to get an answer? We came here to help build this country and our skills are being wasted. Fix this now.

The bureaucracy is killing our healthcare system. Just look at the wait times in the ER. If they have the credentials let them work already!

My sister is waiting months for her paperwork to go through. She is a trained nurse and sits at home doing nothing while the hospitals are understaffed. This makes no sense.

It is unacceptable that we have qualified pros sitting on their hands while patients wait hours for basic care. Stop the gatekeeping and process the licenses.

Fast track it please! We need more nurses everywhere.

Totally ridiculous. My wife is ready to start tomorrow but the ministry is dragging their feet. We need help in the wards not more red tape.
