Whereas the status quo of daily interaction has declined into consistent indifference;

Whereas acting with personal dignity has become the exception, instead of the rule;

Whereas respect is too often demanded as a right, regardless of whether or not it has been earned;

Whereas courtesy has become an afterthought to the fulfillment of our own wants;

Whereas a radical, proactive commitment must be made by every citizen to create a culture of kindness.

Now therefore, as a Member of The Kindness Revolution™, I commit to creating a culture of kindness. I declare an end to indifference by committing to take consistent and deliberate steps in making kindness my highest priority in every interaction. I will permeate my actions with dignity, respect, courtesy and kindness. It will be my objective, without exception, to make the practice of kindness an indispensible core value by which I interact with others.

Updates

July 27, 2016

The reach of this petition has shifted our position to a level where formal engagement with institutional stakeholders is now viable. I am drafting a proposal to outline our framework for proactive culture changes to present to local leadership next week.
