Kimberlin library is too full. Petition to open Eric Wood and Greenhouse.

Kimberlin Library is massively overcrowded and it is impacting upon our work!!

Please give us more space! And please do more if possible to get people to be quieter. I know it's not easier, and that some staff are great and getting people to stop talking, but sometimes it's so noisy it's just impossible to get any work done.

It's ridiculous to have a university with such a large population and such a small facility for this, I respect the fact that computers don't spring out the ground but something needs to be done

Yeah defo agree, if u go to Kimberlin between 8 and 1 at night your lucky if u get somewhere to sit (not been there any later than 1 so dont know). But overally DMU is lacking on the ammount of computer spaces they have compared to other places such as Coventry uni.

There is practically nowhere to sit if you have your own laptop either

Extra spaces are already open arent they?

There is limited space in all areas and as a result it is hard to abide by the rules that apply in certain areas. For example, on the second floor is supposed to be quiet study but there's not enough space on other floors for group work so as a result, one ends up on this floor and ends up in trouble.

Throughout my 2 years I struggle to find computers, also people locking computers by signing it then leaving for long periods of time is also very annoying.

Let the Eric wood and Green house open 24/7 during the exam month of May

Since the end of the Easter break it has been extremely difficult finding room in the library for study. I have used this facilty through the year and feel that at this time Eric wood and the greenhouse opening over weekends and for 24 hours would help students like myself who do not have a study area at home
