Kimberlain now has a number of laptops students can hire for free - I think this shows awareness of the issue and is an effective step towards helping students. But it's hard to disagree that the money expended on a new, similar sized food court could have been better spent. Printing facilities are particularly bad. That said, DMU will no doubt get lots of lovely cash from the privately-owned vendors selling in the new food space and this will bennefit students in the future.

Like others have said; rather than a 'food village', funds should have gone to Library facilities. Horrible atmosphere, detrimental to study.

I really rely on the library's resources and it is so hard to do work and even find a computer when there are so many people constantly using it!

Although I am a post grad and can access the computer room in the basement I can definitely see that finding anywhere else to work in the library would be a struggle, and more space is needed.

I am constantly having to leave the library due to lack of computers and find it so uncomfrotable being in there when it's crowded because of the heat. This is causing a lot of stress during the end of year exam period.

I agree. The computers on the second floor are never available, also very noisy. DMU claims to have 21000 students but the one library does not accommodate them and specially exam season the library is a temple like to study. Some action needs to be taken and decisions made carefully for this growing university.

There's not any space to the point if I want to look at a book I have to stand in the aisle and read it. Please open the other buildings

There should be more facilities available for students to be able to revise either independently or in groups. The Greenhouse and Eric Wood areas have set times, during exam periods, they should be open 24 hours like the library
