Be careful what you wish for though. Speed bumps would be disastrous for residents. Speed alert camera simulate to the one our side bengeo school is ideal.

There is a serious need for traffic calming in this village. Too many drivers drive far in excess of the speed limit, and there have been several accidents in the past year.

When crossing this road with my baby I have nearly been run over several times. Despite there being a blind bend a short distance from where I cross cars seem to accelerate.

The cars parking at junctions and on the road combined with cars speeding through the village are making this a very dangerous area for both walkers and drivers.

I have lived in Waterford for 46 years. The traffic has got faster and faster over the years. I always slow down to the speed limit only to see impatient drivers behind getting right on my tail. Some sort of traffic calming is needed before there is a serious accident.

Living on the non footpath side of High Road, it is a lottery pulling out of the driveway of a morning. Then looking at where the council have recently installed the flashing signage makes you wonder, why not here?

We moved here in 1992 knowing we are on a main road, however the speed and frequency of traffic has increased greatly since then. Some drivers do make an effort to slow down, but the vast majority do not. Sadly most drivers do not consider speed limits these days. Living here has made us acutely aware of this as an issue across the country.

Stop the speeding now before someone is killed. I've lived here since 2007, and speeding has worsened dramatically. No one does 30mph. We need traffic calming NOT a sign stating your speed. I'm terrified everytime I cross the road with my two year to our car park. I'm scared that one day we'll be the reason that the village gets a speed camera.

I live in Yorkshire but visit my family regularly in Waterford. I am often surprised and astounded at the speed of the traffic along the road through Waterford. I would highly recommend that effective speeding restrictions be installed as soon as possible.
