The government officially committed to funding the rehabilitation and reintegration programs we fought for. We forced them to acknowledge that these children deserve a future. Keep watching to ensure the department follows through on every dollar promised.

300,000 children around the world are forced into a life of servitude as Child Soldiers, risking their lives on a daily basis. Some of these children are young girls who are forced to 'marry' army leaders and adhere to their every whim. They are raped and abused on a daily basis.

When these children are eventually rescued from this degradation they are expected to reintegrate into civilian communities. This kind of torture is not easily forgotten!

The Australian Government must assist these innocent kids to rebuild their lives by providing aid for rehabilitation and reintegration programmes and by influencing the international community to add their support for this worthy but often forgotten cause.

Please sign this petition to demand action from our government.
