As a working class it beats the logic to pay all that money, just to watch a few hours of TV which is mostly local news - consider the traffic jams on my way home. Even if I had people in the house most channels are always repeating stuff or showing old movies. At some point they changed their decoders and we never got a refund or at a subsidised rate, this has happened almost twice. There was something about local channels being free what happened to that? I don't pay for a few days and I cant even watch local channels. This is for both DSTV & GoTV!!!!!

dstv has been a monopoly for so long, as Kenya we have grown from satellite era t fiber connection its high time we opened our doors to other international providers like apple tv and stop the monopoly

They are ever repeating programs..the increase is not fair. Its an abuse if the previleges they enjoy even when they feed us on second rate programs...I have no option but to get another provider..Even free channels are much better of.

It's more expensive watching payTV in Kenya on DSTV than it is in first world UK on SKY TV. Despite SKY TV showing more than double the number of channels than DSTV and better signal quality - no weather disruptions. It is same as paying rent in some quarters. Worse is DSTV prices has been rising for last 10 years annually .

Rip off when you pay in US $. They use a very low rate to calculate so you end up paying even more in $
