I'm totally for this addendum to the current Cottage Food legislation.

Home based cooks should be able to sell their food at local farmer's markets and festivals without needing to grow the main ingredients for their products. This is extremely restrictive and doesn't allow for people with small businesses to break into the community.

I'm a home baker trying to start up by selling to retailers, please change the laws to help individuals who cannot afford to jump through hoops to get going.

Yes PLEASE! Bakers have a hard time making enough money to
Pay rent in a commercial kitchen!

The current KY cottage food laws are very restrictive and exclusionary and need to be brought up to date. Most states have cottage food laws that allow home bakes goods such as cookies and cakes. KY please follow this trend. There are many people depending on this type of income.

as a recent culinary graduate trying to start a catering business has been very hard with the laws that are in place. They are to restrictive and need to be changed. Most of the major businesses today where started in someones home. Changing the laws would not only help small businesses just starting out but also the state economy.

Please, please allow us to sell these products out of our homes! Many people living in Kentucky have incredible skill to offer their communities, and we are being intentionally held back from sharing. Being one of the three most prohibitive states is NOT something that Kentucky should be proud of!

Iam a chef living in Indiana with 11 acres in south central KY. I was hoping to supplement my retirement selling Cottage Foods. I guess I should have done more research and bought somewhere else. This needs to be changed! Dried, cured, smoked, fermented and pickled items should all be included.

Please allow people to produce baked goods from thier home in a non commercial settings. Many of us love to bake but could never afford to open a commercial business, this would help us suceed in extra income.

Please allow our residents to make quality products in their home. The revenue taxable amount will be minute but the morale will be amazing!

Please allow bakers to sell from home. It does no damage to have custom cakes made out of people's home. Sure as heck don't like walmart cake.

The laws need to be changed so Homemakers can work from home without all the red tape, as long as the ingredients are listed on the products.

Im desperately trying to make money from home and baking/cooking is basically the only thing i have a true callingfor! Please change the laws! My county is a poor county and oppertunities are very limited..exspecialy for women (and yes this would be great for men too)...but women with small children need something..and this is IT!!
Change this law and help mothers work from home!
