This would be a wonderful law. I'm on social security and could really use the extra income. Please help us.

As a former health department director, I understand both sides of the debate regarding this issue. Moreover, I understand the necessity of such a food law, and I totally support it.

As someone who had a bake from home business in Missouri, I was very disappointed in Kentucky to have no decent cottage food law for at home bakers when I had to move here because of divorce.

I would love to be able to continue working on my skills at home and be able to share with friends, family and others the joy I get from creating specialty cookies and cakes without having to absorb the entire cost myself!

It would be great for small farms to be able to sell eggs & milk to those that want to buy it also, like we can buy vegetables.

As someone who was able to bake from home before the move to Kentucky it was sad to find out I could no longer do it. Being able to make cakes again would help our family so much!

Ky, as a state is dying! We need a way to make a living and sell our products without big business. It is my right to eat and buy from whomever I want. Commercial food processing plants are nasty. I would rather get from an individual, than from a plant with mice and bugs.

Everyone deserves an opportunity to succeed. If certain individuals have talent and can bake out of their home, a kitchen that is inspected and passes code of course, they should have the freedom to operate.

I think it should be my decision if I want to buy off someone who is baking out of their house. It should be knowledge of the purchaser, but if I chose I should be able to pay someone to make me a cake. This would not force anyone to buy a cake baked in a home, but give some of us more options if we are not happy with the options that we have!

Small town home bakers are artisans. We all don't live in close proximity to grocers that do bakery cakes and artisan breads. I love to cook but baking and decorating is not something i do. License then for home producers. Keep small business alive in rural America.
