Why have Kentuckians been so slow to move on this? I've shared the petition with countless people and have watched it's progress for month...it should have reached 1000 signatures in a week and yet after months it's still barely half way to that goal!

This would be the most amazing law to have in place! There are so many people who could benefit from being able to operate out of their home kitchens. It would boost the local economy, allow for people out of work to work from home, and provide a starting point for those who want to open a professional bakery one day. A cottage food law for Kentucky is long overdue!

Yes, having a cottage law to allow home baking for profit would be a fabulous step forward in KY. GA already has the law in place. The expense of putting a kitchen in would be so costly that I have decided to forego my cake business that I spent much time and money learning. I would love to have he opportunity to bake from home without a professional kitchen.

As I have been unable to find work outside of the home since moving to Kentucky, this law would greatly benefit my family. I would be able to earn income and help support my family without reliance on public programs.

I would love to sell my baked goods, but I can't because it is illegal in this state. I have friends who would love to sell their baked goods. I would hope that Kentucky would recognize the value home bakers bring to the term Kentucky Proud.

This is a great idea....home baking should be permitted for small business. Paying the cost of a stand-alone brick and mortar kitchen is prohibitive for potential small businesses.

I see no reason why this law should not be passed. The opportunity for many people to feed and clothe their families from their efforts or even have a better life is not a bad thing at all.

I do have a small church to bake my goods, but my time is limited there. My son (17) was diagnosed with a brain tumor and has had two brain surgeries, now a year of chemo. I want to be with my son and take him to all his treatments. I lost my job after the second surgery, so baking is the only way I have to buy groceries. I do not want to accept food stamps. Please give me a chance to help take care of my family. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

i am a baker and have to rent a kitchen to bake at and then decorate my cakes at home and this is extra travel and money that i dont have please change this law other states have already!!! thanks
