As members of Kenton Jewish community we object very strongly to Brent Council's proposal to sell off land to a property consortium to build houses.We feel that St. Luke's hospice provides an essential service to the local community, and many of our members have benefited from this. As the only hospice in Brent, it has steadily grown and expanded over the last few years and is now in a position when it needs to expand more to provide adequate accommiodation for local residents in need. The Scout hut which will also be affected is also vitally important as a community facility. We believe that the council has a moral duty to ensure that these facilities are mantained in our local community.
