GSAs are so, so important in school! Queer youth can be so easily isolated and, when coupled with the much higher rates of mental illness among this demographic, this cn lead to very bad situations. Help these kids to feel more accepted and, therefore, happier!

My daughter is involved in the GSA at her high school and it's been fantastic. The kids of Kenmore SHS deserve a safe place where they can all feel that they belong.

Remember when straight kids needed a club in order to find people to have sex with. Me neither. Young people with traditionally marginalized identities deserve a safe space to express themselves. Denying this club is not in the spirit of education nor is it in the best interests of the student body as a whole.

I commend every one of the students involved with this petition. How sad that it is necessary, but how wonderful that you're fighting for what you believe in. Every school should have a GSA.
