Ken Stone is Rugby.
Since his rugby beginnings in grade school, Ken has embodied the “rugby spirit” and continually proven himself on and off the field. As a player Ken has made it to the professional level in both rugby union and rugby league. After his playing career, Ken excelled as coach with well established clubs and universities, fostering young athletes through the ranks. As a coach in the UK, he has led varsity athletes to five national titles and has developed individual players to international recognition. Off the field, he planned and executed fundraising, community building, and service-learning opportunities to not only develop players off the field but do so in the spirit of building the sport.
Now Ken is in the US and looking to build on his already well established career. Coach Ken is currently the head coach for the University of Denver Men’s Rugby team and the Director of Rugby for the Queen City Rams (Denver). While in both capacities here in the U.S. he has developed players to play competitive rugby, with a championship in the Rocky Mountain Rugby League, Frontier League, and a top 5 finish in the 7s Collegiate Rugby Championships.
With the upcoming restructure of USA Rugby, our rugby community is in dire need of a leader who understands the nuances of the sport, the organization required to successfully manage league finances and structure growth , and the development needs of domestic players and future USA Eagles. We are asking for your support to push USA Rugby to consider Ken Stone into a leadership role. USA Rugby’s core values are to UNITE an inclusive, passionate rugby community, IGNITE sustainable development, and GROW opportunities nationwide. The rugby establishment in this country is stagnant and we are finally forcing them to notice that the status quo is unacceptable. We have enough momentum now to make it impossible for them to ignore the need for real leadership like Ken's.

I played under Ken at the tail end of my Rugby career, he is organized, passionate, and most of all he made practice and the sport fun! I vote Kenny Stone
Ken Stone is one of the most generous people I know. The man has become a mentor, coach, and friend to me since I arrived to college. His passion for the game of rugby and love for other people makes him a great candidate for any leadership role or position within USA rugby.
Having a wealth of rugby knowledge from his time living in the uk, Ken can certainly now share his experience and background to take USA rugby to the next level.
Ken absolutely has the quality, experience, and leadership skills to help USA Rugby. Seeing how Ken has invoked class and professionalism into two programs at the same time is a strong testament to his ability.
Ken came into the Queen City family as I was finishing my time as a player. However, the time I did play under him was more than enough to realize he exemplifies everything positive about rugby. From the technical knowledge of the game to the spirit that embodies it, his person is synonymous with this sport we all love and wish to grow. He would be invaluable in this pursuit.

Coach Ken is an amazing coach and mentor to young boys who want to play Rugby. He brings lots of talent not only to DU Mens Rugbu Club but to Queen City Rams. He has helped the Queen City Rams accelerate and improve there skills which helped them qualify 5th in the US Rugby Championship.
