Move Christ of St John of the cross at Kelvingrove
Have you visited the Kelvingrove Art Galleries since they re-opened Were you disgusted, infuriated, deeply saddened and enraged at the position and hanging of Glasgow`s most expensive and famous piece of art : Christ of St John of the Cross by Salvador Dali - estimated worth upwards of 80 million pounds An air vent, visible security alarms, highly reflective glass in which you can see reflections of GREEN! led lights which highlight the corridor ceiling. The layout and standard of the refurbishment of the galleries is questionable to say the least, but the way this painting is being treated is an atrocity. Please sign this petition to show your support for the proposition that the painting be moved to a position that commands the respect this work of art deserves, and that allows those wishing to view it the chance to do so without having to stand in the middle of a busy circulation route with every light source in the building shining off it and blinding you in the process! See links to the right > This petition will be sent to - Mark O'Neill, Head of Museums and Galleries Tel: 0141 287 0446 E-mail: mark.o'neill@cls.glasgow.gov.uk Feel free to get in touch with him! Please forward this to anyone you think may be interested in furthering this cause - thankyou!
