KEEP WOOD A TWO WAY STREET

It certainly does not seem as if traffic engineers were engaged in this decision to ensure traffic flows easily. It was disappointing the insufficient outreach on the part of La Spata regarding this matter. Thank goodness for the notices posted along Wood Street for community involvement.

Turning Wood to a one way street in this neighborhood is short sighted and would be a disaster for local residents.

Wood is a vital 2 way street

There is PLENTY of room on this road and not excessive traffic. No need to change it.

Wood is a busy "thru street" it would be a mistake to change it.

Bikes have plenty of options, including Wood, I ride my bike on it all of the time. Not worth the money, Focus on public safety please.

I live right off wood and making it one way would severely impact my egress and garage access.

While I am a big supporter of protected bike lanes and pedestrian safety, this modification seems misguided. Wood is already a low-stress bike route that I use regularly. Changing to one way may paradoxically allow drivers to increase speeds (with the lack of oncoming traffic). I also worry about the daycare drop-off at Wood and Chicago Ave being adversely affected. Wolcott for a bike lane makes more sense.

It'd getting ridiculous with these bike lanes. Especially down residential streets. Vote no

This process was definitely flawed and did not represent the residents on Wood street adequately.

I work at kennicott Brothers and this isn't a very efficient route going towards work and coming from and this would disrupt a lot of things to make things dangerous.

I live and work off of Wood Street in Wicker Park. It is a VERY busy two-way street, as it is currently surrounded by two north-bound-onmy streets that prohibit traffic flow, particularly during Fests such as Division Fest during the summer. My neighbors work in the northern half of the City and have complained about the inaccessibility issues due to traffic flow in the past; many are planning to move already due to this and the rising cost of living. If we continue to adjust all traffic flow northwards, what is to prevent the eventual flow of resources and inhabitants that way? Please keep Wood Street a two-way street!

If approved, this would result in my alley being placed between two one -way streets headed north. This removes my option to head south towards chicago Ave unless I go out of my way via grand to Ashland or Damen.
