Gaz and Zoe Jones have been Fantastic members to the community here in Santa Monica
to let them exit from this location is a major travesty to the community (on a side note) this new neighbor is making up stories to get them out sooner than later and who do you trust someone who's been loyal or some newbie was making up stories for power of control whatever that means.....
Please please please
To whomever the powers that may be... A.k.a. Landlords....
Do not get rid of that British space....
It will be a detriment in the ripple effect to the success of the real estate that you hold....
As well as the community at large...

that british place provided my band, the incredible heavies, an affordable practice space with a back line to keep us from hauling all of our equipment. this is a rarity on the west side. please allow them to keep their business going.

I began rehearsing at That British Place soon after they opened doors and have nothing but great things to say. Wonderful ownership, staff, rooms and equipment. It saddens me to hear that they are being bullied by a neighbor and mistreated by management, totally undeserved. I support the studio and the owners fully, I hope that this petition serves as the sign of respect and validation that they deserve. This studio should remain in business for years to come, it's a welcome and friendly environment that nurtures talent, friendship and music of all genres. Keep That British Place open!

This is a great business and a loss to the music industry, local musicians and the young people that aspire to be better. There are very few studios left like this in Los angeles, great people that make anyone feel welcome.

I lived on the westside for quite some time, and have been a regular at That British Place ("TBP") since 2009. I can say with no hesitation that TBP is a highly organized and considerate facility that routinely goes to great lengths to not only care for the needs of their clientele, but to also ensure that this clientele is well informed of the many considerations taken in favor of their neighbors and the surrounding area. That anyone could lodge a complaint against these people is rather unbelievable, and is likely contrived.

TBP offers a great service for us musicians, especially drummers, to get together with friends/bandmates and express ourselves musically by focusing on the music rather than the the logistics, like a space to play and musical instruments to lug around. It is the perfect outlet for me since all I need to do is invite others to meet and, within minutes of arriving, we're ready to express our musical art. The staff has always been friendly and my friends and I have always been respectful of the other adjacent tenants. Other band rehearsal spaces are rather poor quality in shoddy locations that are unnerving at night. TBP was designed by a professional acoustician who understood not only the sound quality desired within each room but also the sound isolation so that neighbors were not impacted by bands practicing. Gaz and Zoe have gone about this business the right and professional way whereas others have simply thrown up partitions in rundown buildings in unsafe locations so they can make a buck off of poor musicians trying to make it. I'm an engineer simply wanting to play for fun and can afford virtually all rehearsal spaces, but TBP's quality, proximity, and charm have always been huge pluses for me.

This is a professional buissiness run by respectable people. They i elp everyone they know and don't end up on top financially and they dont .ind because the love of music and musicianship is not hobby its a way of life for them and everyone the have ever associated with. These folks do not deserve this treatment and by forcing them out you are enabling a loss of clientel which could tesult in a class action law suit. Be nice, listen to the song "Yellow Submarine" by The Beatles wether you like the band or music genre or not. Find peace love tolerance and acceptance for others who may be just like you...human. Just different than you. And please remember "Mean people Suck"

TBP has been a valuable resource for musicians in Santa Monica for several years now. It is a neighborhood fixture for musicians who appreciate the quality service TBP provides. It would be a great loss to the community as it is the only rehearsal space of its kind in the area.
