Coach Metzger coached me my Jr and Sr year at Pinecrest. He is a amazing resource to this community and to our younger generation. He mentored me to become a better student and man as I grew up. If he is released from the school this will definitely be a huge blow for Pinecrest and the school district

There was a time not long ago that Pinecrest was contemplating canceling their football season. Support was at an all time low, kids were not participating and structure in the program was non-existent. The most talented athletes in the school refused to play on the team. Coach Metzger came along and changed the culture from day one. He embraced the community and asked for support. He brought a relentless passion and commitment each and every day and made every kid feel important. He established standards for all to follow and connected with the youngest players in the community to build their trust and renew their love for the game. His spirt was contagious and pursuit of establishing a quality program stretched beyond the football field. He has been equally focused on developing fine young men, great students and contributors in the community. I moved away in 2009 having spent time in Canada and other parts of the U.S since, but I have paid close attention to what Coach Metzger and his staff have built at Pinecrest. It's more than winning games, they are making a difference on so many lives in Moore County and it would be an absolute travasty to remove him from he leadership role he so deserves. The program and kids have suffered enough with the wins which were vacated. If Coach Metzger is removed all the hard work and improvements will be wasted and the kids in Moore county will be impacted. Let's learn from this mistake and move forward. Coach Metzger deserves to remain. Please make the right choice. Thank you.

I am a Richmond raider and I don't coach metzger personally, but from past interviews I have watched online he really seems to be a great coach. He seems like he really care about his men on and off the field. He seems like a coach that sets a great example for his players. I really hope he stays on because it's hard to find great leaders now days.

Keep the coach. Pinecrest football was non existent until he came around. The community has grown stronger because of this man.
