Those that want him fired should be fired in his place for they are the ones that are truly ignorant.

You would mindfully regret taking him out of the lives of people you love him and admire him

Coach Metzger deserves to be treated better than this.

Class of 2004: never have I seen the community come together like they did before he started Coaching. I don't live there anymore but I live in Texas where High School football is huge and seeing all the post from people back home about the program and coming together as a community to support them remind me of down here in Texas. Would Be a shame to lose that.

Please keep Coach Metzger! He is a very inspiring coach and cares deeply about his players. He called me personally several times when my son was injured to check on how he was. He lives by the values he teaches his players.

Coach Metzger is one of the best things to happen to Pinevrest in the last 10 years. To dismiss him over a paperwork issue is an absurdity.

He has brought the football program to a whole new level. Getting rid of him world hurt the school more than help it.

Coach Metzger is a man who demands much of his teams, not just on the field but more importantly, as young men who understand how to give back to others in so many ways. Thanks, Coach!!

No one in the past 40 years in Moore County Schools has made the positive Christian influence to our youth as Chris has done, and should be allowed to continue doing so. I oppose any action on part of the Moore County School System that would prevent Coach Metzger from continuing as Head Coach and educator at Pinecrest High School and would hold Moore County Schools responsible for the demise of the character, integrity, and enhancement of our precious youth.

My daughters are PHS alumna from the days when everyone wanted to play Patriots for homecoming because the team was awful. Ever since Metzger arrived I've feared some school would hire him away. Please don't fire him for this oversight. There is enough blame to go around for all the adults who didn't take care of the paperwork. This would only hurt the team and they've already paid a steep price for this whole mess.
